Wombats 2-3 years
The Wombat Room is a fun, engaging, play-based environment designed to nurture the curiosity and growing independence of children aged 2–3 years. Rooted in the Inglewood Childcare and Kindergarten philosophy, the Wombat Room provides a warm, safe and stimulating space where children can explore, experiment and express themselves through hands-on, challenging play. We value each child and family as unique, respecting their cultures, languages, customs and beliefs, and we build secure, respectful relationships through open and honest communication.
Child-safe practices guide everything we do, ensuring all children feel protected and confident as they learn. Educators in the Wombat Room work closely with families—recognised as children’s first educators—to share insights and support each child’s development and wellbeing. A balance of adult-led and child-initiated experiences encourages children to follow their interests, develop social skills, and build a strong sense of belonging. Through ongoing reflection, professional growth and connection with our local community, the Wombat Room offers an enriching environment where children can thrive, discover and joyfully explore their world.
