Excursions within the Community

Regular excursions into the local community give our children rich, real-world learning experiences that build confidence and curiosity.

Visiting places like shops, parks, libraries, and nearby schools helps them develop social skills as they interact with familiar community members, strengthens their sense of belonging, and supports early literacy and numeracy through practical, everyday contexts.

These outings also encourage independence, enhance language development, and allow children to make meaningful connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them.

Regular community outings align with the EYLF, QKLG, 8ways and our centre philosophy.
